Info about the hands-on courses

For the hands-on courses participants are expected to bring their own laptops and to install the X2Go client and/or ssh client prior to the winter-school. Info for those who have Windows installed on their laptops: convenient ssh clients for windows are MobaXterm or PuTTY.

Social program during the weekend

Given that Ajdovščina (the conference site) is a small town, optional touristic trips can be organized during the weekend, depending on the interest of attendees. The proposed choices are the following:

Saturday (06/02/2016): optional touristic trip to Ljubljana (capital of Slovenia) or alternatively to Trieste (nearby seacoast city in Italy).
Sunday (07/02/2016): optional touristic trip to beautiful Škocjan Caves.

To facilitate the organization of the trips, please indicate your interests on the registration form. The approximate price for renting a bus for the whole day is around 350 EUR (actual cost per person will thus depend on the number of attendees). Touristic tours are not reimbursable by COST.
